leadership

flood’s leadership is comprised of both adult and student volunteer roles.  flood is unique in that students are directly involved in every aspect of the ministry.

ADULT LEADERS

Adult leadership and volunteer roles include serving as a member on the Board of Directors, the Prayer Team, directly working with students as a Chapter Coordinator, parent drivers, or ministry support for special events or administrative duties.

STUDENT LEADERS

Student leaders can serve as Chapter Leaders that work in the schools directly with students engaging them to serve in their communities. They are truly the front lines of reaching out to students and showing them the love, acceptance, and servant heart of Christ. Each chapter also has a student prayer leader that provides prayer support for the chapter and its outreach to the school and community.

PROJECT LEADERS

Project Leaders are students who have a heart for a particular community partner flood serves. These students are the hands-on, day of leaders who develop and maintain relationships with our community partners and ensure students are engaged in a meaningful way when they are serving.

THE HEART OF FLOOD LEADERSHIP

At all levels within the ministry, flood strives to bring forth the message as embodied in their core values.  Each month at the chapter meetings, service projects, and in communications,  a core value and its message is relayed to students in hopes that the intent of its meaning is received in the hearts of students.  At the end of the day, flood simply wants students to embrace their God-given gift to serve others, not only in the community but at home and in their schools. Many students just need an easy way to serve so that they can ignite their passion to give back to others and flood provides just that.  When students serve, “they are most like themselves,” and God is freed up to work in their hearts by them working in the hearts of those they serve.
