flood exists to provide HOPE in the local community through the hearts and hands of high school students.
flood’s vision is to EMPOWER generations of students to experience Jesus by LOVING, SERVING, AND LEADING others.
Flood has 3 sets of values that are essential to the culture of the ministry, as well as the development of staff and student leaders. These sets of values serve as the heart of the ministry.
Love Radically: “We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion – how can God’s love be in that person? Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our own actions.” 1 John 3:16-18
Serve Humbly: “Do not be selfish; do not try to impress others. be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Do not look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.” Philippians 2:3-4
Lead Strongly: “But among you it will be different. Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant.” Luke 22:26
Support Fully: “Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not, patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.” 2 Timothy 4:2
Saturate Totally: “So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” Matthew 9:38
